Retreat

This is the time of year when most of us take a break and go away, usually on a quest to escape our routines and catch some sun. Taking some time out is both healthy and important. It helps us slow down, recharge, gain perspective and spend time as a human being rather than a human doing.
I have been going to Kerala in South India for many years, I absolutely love it. Since I opened the studio 4 years ago I have run a 10 day yoga retreat there every year for students who want to come and immerse themselves in yoga and this enchanting country. In India yoga is a part of everyday life and goes hand in hand with Ayurveda, a science of maintaining health and preventing disease which has been used for 5000 years. After a break this year I am going to organise it again next April, so I want to sow the seed now for your holidays next year. A retreat is an awesome way to to to spend time on yourself, do lots of yoga, reconnect and relax.
I am SO excited that our schedule is changing….and I really, genuinely want to THANK everyone who has come along and tried a Resonant class or a Vinyasa Flow class and giving us your immensely valuable feedback. The comments have been overwhelmingly positive, which is really inspiring.
For ages I was so resistant to practising any yoga other than Bikram and I could never have imagined that we would teach anything but Bikram at our studio…but finally being open enough to try a few new things my practice has come alive, is a lot more fun and moving in different ways has been great for my body. I really hope that this will be your experience too and I am going to add in a few more Vinyasa Flow classes next month. We are all part of the growth at the studio and your comments would be warmly welcomed.
See you at the studio,
