Your personal data

The personal data that we obtain from you as part of your registration process includes your name and contact details. We also ask for optional additional data such as date of birth, reason for visiting and experience in order to tailor our services to you. This information is obtained for the purposes of maintaining our contract with you to provide our services (e.g. yoga classes) and in order to improve our service to you. This includes ensuring that you receive information by email on your purchases, bookings, class reminders, pass expirations and cancellations. If you opt in for our newsletter then we also use your contact details to keep you up to date on classes, workshops, events and therapies.

How we store your data

Your personal data is stored securely within MindBody Online, our booking software, and Mailchimp, our online email platform, to allow us to manage our on-going business and provide an efficient service to you. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is processed, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

The data is securely stored and only shared by the management and administrative team at Hot Yoga Wimbledon (HYW), appropriate teachers and when necessary, or when required by the law in compliance with provisions of GDPR. We do not share personal data with any third party.

If you have not visited HYW for a period of four years, your account becomes inactive.

As stated in our liability waiver, we reserve the right to photograph or film during our classes and to use these images for our website and marketing purposes. By signing our liability waiver you agree to these terms and should you not wish to be photographed or filmed, it is your responsibility to make yourself known. We do not use the personal details or names of any client in a photograph on our website, printed publications and social media unless express permission is granted.

Use of Cookies

The HYW website uses “cookies” to help you personalise your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the Web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you register with our website (www.hotyogawimbledon.com), a cookie helps our website to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. When you return to the website again, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the features that you customized. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of our website or other sites you visit.

Changes to this Statement

We will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect client feedback. We encourage you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
